A courageous tale set against the fierce backdrop of the American Civil War, True Women tells the remarkable true story of a dedicated family ravaged by war and turmoil and their survival against the odds. When their home is threatened by Mexican forces and Native American warriors Sarah Ashby McClure (Dana Delany) and her sister Euphemia (Annabeth Gish) lead their family and friends, including Georgia Lawshe (Angelina Jolie), to safety across the maledominated West Texas plains. Their dramatic escape and day-to-day ordeals along the dusty and deadly landscape has become the stuff of American legend. Based on the book by Janice Woods Windle, True Women co-stars Rachael Leigh Cook, Tina Majorino, Michael York, Powers Boothe, Charles S. Dutton, John Schneider and Tony Todd.
